The Next Leg of the Journey

Announcing the launch of Hi Mount Research

Channeling Ernest Hemingway, life changes and market developments come at us “gradually, then suddenly.” That especially seems to be the case when we are combining the two.

This week I am winding down a previous endeavor and launching a new one.

This is the message I shared yesterday (the video version of it is here):

Hi Mount Research is an idea that has been simmering, unattended, on the back burner for a few years. I’m reminded of a quote from former Czech president Vclav Havel: “Vision is not enough; it must be combined with venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps; we must step up the stairs.”

So now it’s time to turn up the heat and really start cooking. This substack is about to get a lot busier. I hope you stick around and see what comes out of the kitchen.

Finally, while this is another new beginning for me, it is also a continuation of a journey that has now spanned nearly a quarter of a century. I look forward to where this path leads us next.
