Tactical tailwinds fade as tape deteriorates

The S&P 500 posted its first 3% weekly move the year this week, but unless something changes, it’s hard to conclude that the selling is finished.

We finish the week with new lows > new highs and VIX < 28.5.

The absence of both fear and strength suggests more downside for the S&P 500.
